Napoli: Back to where Diego left them. SERIE A!

It finally happened: Napoli are back in the Serie A after seven years!

A draw away at Genoa saw both teams promoted as they avoided the playoffs by having a 10-point cushion over the fourth placed team, Piacenza, as they drew 1-1 against Triestina in a very exciting last day of the Serie B season.

Diego must be celebrating at home as the Azzurri return to the top tier of Italian football together with Juventus and Genoa.

Roberto SOSA was the Argentine representative this time and we will have to see if the San Paolo's club look for other Albicelestes to join him for next season.

Celebrations already started in Napoli's official website:

I forgot to mention...for both: Napoli and Genoa, this is their second promotion in a row after they escaped Serie C last year.

Genoa, with Diego MILITO as their top scorer, suffered due to their corrupt president who tried to buy a game in the last week of the season in which they were practically promoted.

That took Genoa from virtually promoted to Serie A to relegation to Serie C in what was a hell for all their loyal supporters.

So I'm happy for both teams as they had a great season and, if it wasn't for Juventus, one of them would have been champions today.

The important thing is that they are back and now I've got a team to follow in Serie A!
