MESSI is fine after getting a knock in training

You could imagine Diego sweating and with him, an entire nation and the many from other countries (like 99.9% of Mundo's readers!).

Lionel MESSI picked up the ball, ran for a few metres, stopped and as he attempted a shot, he collided with Javier MASCHERANO and needed treatment from Dr. Donato VILLANI.

He had to leave that training match, but the news coming from the Ezeiza training camp are encouraging. It was only a knock in his right knee. Something that won't keep him from working with the team and wouldn't rule him out of the Canada frienly on Monday.

Here's some footage of a pitch side banner with the important stuff happening behind

TRAVEL ITINERARY CONFIRMED

According to a prestigious Argentine journalist, Juan Pablo VARSKY, who I follow on Twitter, Diego and his team will all be flying together on Friday, May 28 in South African Airways flight 227. They will depart from Buenos Aires at 18:15 local time.

TICKETS SOLD OUT FOR CANADA FRIENDLY

It will be a party. No doubt about it. It will start at 4 PM local time (as always...check here to see the time-difference between your place in the world and Buenos Aires).

We will be keeping you posted on team news and the important news related to this farewell friendly before Argentina travels to South Africa.

And as every time Argentina takes the field, we will be here on Mundo Albiceleste inviting you to chat and follow the game with your fellow Albiceleste fans from all over the planet.

See you on Monday.

hey guys i m really really disappointed because jesus datolo wasnt selected for 23 man squad!!! really sad. i knoiw most of the people dont like datolo here bt do u guys remember the goal against brazil... it was mind blowing!!! i always wish that argentina scores from long distances shot as well coz i have really seen argentina scored from long range shot. long range shots are attractive to watch as well as very usefull and this guy could have provided just that and look this guy really loves argentina. really sad fron him :(

Hi Anirudh: Come to our live chat a few minutes before the game and we should definitely have some links for you to follow the match. It's on free-to-air TV in Argentina so my guess is that there will be many users re-broadcasting it through the internet.

---------------------------

Albi fan from Bangladesh: Squad numbers have not been announced yet.

We will be all over them as soon as they are revealed.

I think, however, that we can already guess a few of those numbers:

1. ROMERO
2. DEMICHELIS
4. OTAMENDI
6. HEINZE
7. DI MARIA
8. VERON
9. HIGUAIN
10. MESSI
11. TEVEZ
12. ANDUJAR

I don't know whether MASCHERANO will wear number 5 or 14. I'm leaning towards number 14 (he wore it v. Germany and in the WCQ). If MASCHERANO wears number 14, then number 5 will surely go to BOLATTI.

MILITO could wear number 22 like he does for Inter.

PALERMO wore number 18 vs. Uruguay.

PASTORE likes number 16, but Kun AGÜERO has been using it.

23 could go to Diego POZO (third keeper), but Jonas GUTIERREZ could also wear that (like he did in Germany in March and many other times like when he scored in Marseille v. France). Though Jonas also wore number 17 v. Uruguay when we clinched our ticket to the WC.

SAMUEL wore number 13 vs. Germany.

This is all speculation. I'm sure some of our readers will know more about this subject.

-----------------------

As for DÁTOLO, Argentina4life. I got to say that he did really well when he played for us. Not only against Brazil, but also against Russia (and that classic JESUS-GOD hug celebration).

Unfortunately for him, he went out of the radar when he moved from Napoli to Olympiakos.

That said, he was REALLY close of being picked by Diego as I hear him, José SOSA and Maxi RODRIGUEZ fought it out for that coveted 23rd spot on the list.

It wasn't to be for him. I also think the emergence of Angel DI MARIA as our stud in that left midfield flank really hurt DATOLO's chances.

Mundo readers from Canada.... The match will be televised on Roger's Sportsnet starting at 3:30pm eastern time. This will be Argentina's second match in a row that is televised live in Canada. The Germany friendly was live on GOLTV.

Anyone outside of Canada, I'm not sure if Sportsnet will be having a live stream of the match. You can check at www.sportsnet.ca

VAMOS!!!!

CAPS GUY: Dude stop asking for attention. Stop whining and whining and whining. We're all getting sick of it. Show some respect to Seba,John and Roy's hard work...
And by the way, Messi getting a knock is big worrying news. If you're a real Argentinian fan, you would be worried too instead of just asking for attention by whining and whining like the little B**** that you are.
P.S: Don't reply to this, because I won't lower my class to your level and reply back...

Argentina played 3-4-3 in training and won 4-0: Romero; Burdisso, Otamendi, Heinze; Gutierrez, Mascherano, Maxi, Di Maria; Messi, Tevez, Higuain.

I'm sure 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 (anything with Tevez in) will be our back up tactic to our 4-2-2-2. Tevez scored 2, Di Maria one, Messi one in that training.

Bolatti entered the game for Mascherano, Pastore for Messi, Palermo for Higuain, Garce for Otamendi, Clemente for Heinze in the second half.

Once the 5 players (3 in CL plus Veron and Aguero who were rested) are back and are fit, I'm sure the REAL back up tactic is: (3-4-3(we used this against Colombia)): Romero; Demichelis, Samuel, Heinze; Gutierrez, Mascherano, Veron, Di Maria; Tevez, Messi, Higuain.

So basically it's just Tevez for Otamendi. Gutierrez will be a defensive minded right winger. Di Maria will be the offensive minded left winger. Masche and Veron will control the midfield as usual. Messi will be on the right, Tevez slightly on the left (working with Di Maria), Higuain will be the #9.

Look very dangerous to me... Try this against South Korea? Only if the first match won't go that good.
