The Green Jacket Goes To CABRERA!!!

Firstly on the European football circuit, only Kun AGUERO got himself on the score sheet in Atletico Madrid 2-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna. He played a neat one-two with Diego FORLAN and a burst of speed took him away from Alberto LOPO and into the area, where he coolly clipped the ball past Daniel ARANZUBIA, to score Atletico’s first goal.

However the Easter weekend belongs to the first Argentine to win the green jacket at Augusta National, Angel "Pato" CABRERA.

As expected by many golf experts, the finale to the Master was intense as ever. Pato survived a wild final round that began with a supercharged duel between Tiger WOODS and Phil MICKELSON and ended with a stunning collapse by Kenny PERRY.

Two shots behind with two holes to play, CABRERA fought his way into a three-way playoff when the 48-year-old PERRY, on the verge of becoming golf's oldest major champion, bogeyed the final two holes.

Even in a playoff, CABRERA looked like the odd man out. He drove into the trees, hit another shot off a Georgia pine, but still scrambled for par with an 8-foot putt. He won with a routine par on the 10th hole when PERRY missed the green badly to the left and made yet another bogey, this one the most costly of them all.

"This is a great moment, the dream of any golfer to win the Masters," CABRERA said through an interpreter during the green jacket ceremony. "I'm so emotional I can barely talk."

Congratulation to the Mighty Duck of Cordoba, Vamos Pato Carajo!!!

Thanks for the comment Akash, as always.

However, from I believe Dario CVITANICH has opted to play Croatia instead of Argentina.

I heard that Angel might have quit smoking. I bet he had stowed a pack in his golf bag for just such an occasion, a Master's duel to the death!

Cabrera is an excellent golfer, but his greatest asset Sunday was his ability to "keep it cool." Angel did not show signs of anxiety that so many do in such lofty shadows of the Master's greats (Woods, Mickelson, and past champs).

It is really cool to see the first South American become a "Master."

He John according to the FIFA rules Dario Cvitanich can't play for Croatia, because the FIFA rules do not allow nationality to be taken from the great grandfather
