Pipita & Cruz Closer To League Champions

Real Madrid took another step closer in defending their La Liga crown with 2-0 win over Racing Santander. The visiting side took the lead through RAUL but Racing was piling on the pressure for an equalizer. Then came in substitute Gonzalo HIGUAIN, who scored in the dying seconds to ensure that Real come away with the 3 points.
Like Real, Inter Milan also took another significant step in winning their third successive Serie A crown with 1-0 win over Torino, courtesy from Julio CRUZ’s header.
Lisandro LOPEZ, as always, is in an unstoppable mode when it comes scoring goals in Portugal. In perhaps one of the fixtures of the season, he scored twice as the Dragons defeated their fierce rival Benfica 2-0.
In Turkey, Matias DELGADO was the hero for Besiktas, scoring the 77th minute winner in their 2-1 win over Caykur Rizespor.

While Greece, Javier MALAGUENO scored a consolation goal for Iraklis as their crashed to Olympiacos 1-3.

Higuaín has struggled to put away a lot of the chances he has had this season, but, in this run-up to the championship, he seems to be getting his confidence back. Let's hope next season he can grow into the kind of player Real thought they were buying.

Of late he has been getting us goals whenever he is playing, thats a very good sign for a great player. Ruud's injury has opened up a very good opportunity for him to get some goals. Hope he continues his work for a few more weeks.
Hala Madrid!
