NBA News - A Good Night For Walter

Minnesota Timberwolves 90 Detroit Pistons 94

With the play-off coming soon and their second place in the Eastern Conference looks unlikely to change, coach Flip SAUNDERS decided to give more minutes for some of his bench players.
To do that the likes of Chauncey BILLUPS, Rasheed WALLACE & Richard HAMILTON was all rested for tonight. Despite of this, I had little faith that Walter HERRMANN might be used heavily in this game and how wrong I was.

Walter turned out to be their best player from the bench, posting 11 points, 3 rebounds & 1 steal.

Chicago Bulls 92 Boston Celtics 106

It looks like that the Bulls fading away from the play-off contention and is now behind the Atlanta Hawks by five games.
At least from my own opinion, players like Andres NOCIONI are doing the utmost best in keeping that hope alive.

Tonight from the bench he posted 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1assist & 1 block shot.

San Antonio Spurs 116 Golden State Warriors 92

One team want ensure that it will finish at the top of the Western Conference while the other wants keep pace for the eight place spot.
Manu GINOBILI may have been having a bit less productive performance in recent games but that could be maybe his saving his best for the play-offs. Yet that is going to stop him from posting 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal & 2 block shots. Okay I retrieve back my words, as that was absolutely productive.

Even more productive by his own standard was Fabricio OBERTO, posting 8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists & 2 steals. Let’s just hope they keep this momentum going.

Sacramento Kings 99 Houston Rockets 98

The Kings are playing the spoiler party in the Western Conference and the Rockets are becoming one of their victim.
Still I wont be too concerned as the Rockets are good enough to finish somewhere in the Top 4 and earned that all-important home court advantage for the first round tie.
Game after game, Luis SCOLA is proving that he is born for the NBA and with tonight’s performance he should be a strong candidate for the Rookie of the Year award.

SCOLA was on a high tonight, posting 20 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists & 1 steal.

it's good to see the spurs bringing out their defensive edge. their defense against the warriors is just superb!.. the warriors appeared like they have no choice but to shoot jumpers. even the bench players of the spurs did a great job preventing the davis' company in reaching a hundred points. great defense for the spurs!.. =)

Yeah... I felt the Bulls playoff hopes slipping a while ago. I'm just happy that they're still playing hard... playing all 4 quarters. They could easily "tank it" for a high draft pick like the Knicks are doing. But the Bulls are preserving the integrity of the game... an example all teams should follow.
