Foursome MAXI & A Noche King

In Round 16 of the Copa del Rey, it was goal galore night for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona as they progress towards the next stage but for big spending Real Madrid, an absolute disaster.

Atletico trounced Marbella 6-0 at home to win their tie 8-0 on aggregate. In this match, they were already 2-0 up with goals from Jose Manuel JURADO and Florent SINAMA-PONGOLLE. This was followed by a four goals performance from Maxi RODRIGUEZ. Hr scored twice before the interval and grabbed his hat-trick just after the restart with a fine effort from the edge of the area. Shortly after the hour mark he was again to star as he managed his fourth of the evening with a rolled finish after jose Antonio REYES's pass.

Barcelona too were in a goal scoring blitz against Cultural Leonesa after trashing them 5-0 (7-0 on aggregate) with a goal from Lionel MESSI in the 64th minute. He produced a sublime solo effort moments, skipping his way past three Cultural defenders before lashing to the roof of the net past a hapless Cultural keeper.

Both Fernando GAGO and Gonzalo HIGUAIN started for Real Madrid in their 1-0 win over Alcorcon but it was not enough to see them through after the shocking hammering they received from the unknown side in the previous leg.

NBA News - Chapu & Kings Immediate Turnaround

Last year, they were the worst season in the entire league and at the start of this campaign, it did look like they fortune are not going change at all. But all that change as the Sacramento Kings notch their third win in a row, the latest a 101-98 win over the Oklahoma City Thunders.

Andres NOCIONI scored 16 points (his fifth game in a row posting double digits), 5 rebounds plus an assist and a steal. Much more he was a menace in defense especially against Kevin DURANT. His aggressiveness display force the Thunder’s leading scorer to miss 8-11 shots in the first half.

In other highlights, Luis SCOLA posted 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal but the Houston Rockets went down against fellow Texas franchise the Dallas Mavericks 103-121.
