Javier SAVIOLA The Hero In El Clasico Portugal

In the biggest fixture of the season, Benfica defeated the arch rival FC Porto with Javier SAVIOLA scoring the only goal of the game. In the 23rd minute the Porto defence was caught napping, when a long ball from the half-way line from David LUIZ set SAVIOLA through on goal, who slotted coolly past Helton.


In Italy Serie A, AS Roma defeated Parma 2-0 with Nicolas BURDISSO striking from the six yard box into the bottom right corner after the visitors failed to clear Rodrigo TADDEI cross.

In another match, Catania handed Juventus their third straight defeat after beating the Grand Old Lady 2-1 at the Stadio Del Alpi. Mariano IZCO became the hero for the visiting side when he raced through on the counter in the 87th minute to score his first goal in Serie A.

While Greece, in the seven goal thriller between FC Xanthi and Iraklis which the home side won 4-3, Mauro POY was among the goal scorer for Xanthi.

I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES SAVIOLA SHOULD BE BACK IN THE NT AND I BELIEVE HE WOULD BE GREAT WITH HIG UP FRONT.

If Diego is not going to use Milito I agree. I think Milito is the much better choice, but if Maradona has a hair up his butt about Milito, then let's go Saviooo-la.
