Champions League Matchday 6 - Wednesday Preview

Firstly, lets watch Lucho GONZALEZ’s consolation goal for Marseille as they will now make the trip in the Europa League after losing to Real Madrid 1-3.

Now to complete this round, here are matches involving the Albiceleste from Wednesday’s fixtures.

Liverpool vs. Fiorentina
Javier MASCHERANO, Emiliano INSUA, Jose Ignacio CASTILLO and Mario SANTANA

Olympique Lyon vs. Debreceni VSC
Lisandro LOPEZ and Cesar DELGADO

Internazionale vs. FK Rubin Kazan
Javier ZANETTI, Esteban CAMBIASSO, Walter SAMUEL, Diego MILITO, Alejandro DOMINGUEZ and Christian ANSALDI

Dynamo Kiev vs. FC Barcelona
Lionel MESSI and Gabriel MILITO

VfB Stuttgart vs. FC Unirea Urzeceni
Pablo BRANDAN

Seville FC vs. Glasgow Rangers
Federico FAZIO, Aldo DUSCHER, Lautaro ACOSTA and Diego PEROTTI

Olympiacos vs. Arsenal
Luciano GALETTI and Christian LEDESMA

Standard Liege vs. AZ Alkmaar
Sergio ROMERO

Looks like all the matches will have an Albiceleste connection but only a few will have critical significant in terms of qualification for the next stage.

If there was a “Group of Death” in the Champions League, then its got to be Group F. Going into the final round fixtures all four teams stand a chance to make it to the next stage.

Lionel MESSI & Co will travel to Kiev from which a win will ensure they finish top of their group. The other match will see the Albiceleste of Inter needing only a draw against surprise package Rubin. Lets remember one thing that this Russian side are capable of doing the unthinkable.

The other side surprise side in this tournament is Romanian side Unirea. A win for them against Stuttgart will ensure that Pablo BRANDAN and his teammates fairy tale in the competition will continue.

As a consolation, AZ will bank on the heroic hands of Sergio ROMERO to help them progress to the Europa League.

I guess we have got a replacement for Roman on taking free kick after seeing El Flea score that goal.

Here's hoping his injury is not serious.

Vamos El Flea

Great free kick goal by Messi, made me wonder why he missed the net so many times in World Cup qualifiers.

Zanetti showed incredible individual skill in Inter's first goal and Inter advance to the final 16.

FORZA INTERNAZIONALE!!!!
