An Interview With Juampi Sorin!!!

Hey guys! I have a special announcement to make and I believe that this might excites you all. Remember our planned to have an interview with the legendary Mario KEMPES.

Well that seems like a long time ago. And Seba and myself do apologize to everyone because of that interview never materialized. However as there is saying, that when one doors close, another opens!!!

And believe me we do have something in store for you. Through some of Seba’s personal contact he has manage to arrange a meeting with non other than our 2006 World Cup captain, Juan Pablo SORIN!!!
Seba is schedule to meet Juampi in Montevideo where he is currently on duty. I'm sure many of you would agree that SORIN is perhaps one of the greatest left back in the world, so here is your chance to say something to him.
So without wasting any time, Mundo would like to invite YOU to send in your question or comments to Please don’t forget to give us your name, and the city or country where you live!

Indeed! I took this as a chance to pay out an old debt we have with our readers when the KEMPES interview brokedown.

Now I met Juampi face to face and he agreed to be sent the questions by e-mail (an address that I'll keep in private very well, I must add! ;)

So...start sending your questions for the player that is starting his second spell at Brazilian side Cruzeiro.

Great stuff. Keep up the good work. I invite you and your boys to be guest writers at La Liga Talk... hey we got to spread some love for the South American game in these Premiership-infested waters. You guys are doing a great job doing so.

We will also be doing World Cup Qualifier previews. Ask him how he got into DJ'ing. It's one of his big passions.

PS... I don't think Sorín was never going to be greater left back than Roberto Carlos or Giancinto Facchetti or even Paolo Maldini. One of the best ever in South America, no doubt. Would be a good topic to debate...consider it.

Trust me he is way much better than those three, when it came to Argentina shirt !!

John, Seba, Here are my questions for Juanpi Sorin, one of our my favorite players! Please ask him some of these questions, especially the first one which is important for every true Juanpi fan!

1. Juan Pablo, I believe you are one of the most clever player in terms of tactics and movement without the ball, I've ever seen. Could you explain us your tactical role in Pekerman's team in 2006? For example, how did you manage your efforts and concentration because of the 4-4-2/3-5-2 switch?

2. What did you feel when Esteban Cambiasso scored that fantastic goal against Serbia Montenegro, which was the incredible result of teamwork based on endless movements and short passes from you & all your teamates?

3. How did you feel before facing Ivory Coast at WC 2006, in Hamburg, just before the game when the hymn started? On TV, you seemed to be so confident while fans were so nervous about the first game...

4. The last decade, Argentina has produced very creative left fullbacks such as you or Diego Placente. What do you think about the future of the position, and fast young fullbacks such as Insua or Monzon?

5. Juanpi, what do you feel when 18-year-old kids leave Argentina for Qatar or Russia? What could be done by AFA and FIFA to avoid all this talent exodus?

Thanks a lot you lucky guys! MaxiLopez from argentinaworldcupblog (Antoine).
