Shortly after dispatching the Suns, the San Antonio Spurs prove their championship credential with another strong win over the New Orleans Hornets. While much of the attention was focus on both Tony PARKER and Chris PAUL during the Spurs 106-93 win.
It was Manu GINOBILI poster-worthy dunk over Hilton ARMSTRONG that made the home crowd erupt. After all, the emphatic jam isn’t what Spurs fans are used to seeing.
“It took me 45 games, but it finally came,” Manu said. “I’m glad that I could finally explode and go hard at the rim and get a nice dunk.”
Manu produced another huge performance with 22 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Though the injury that he suffered at the start of the season might have slowed him down, he still proves to bring in the big numbers when it matters. Fabricio OBERTO did see much action, posting just 2 points and 1 rebound.
The Phoenix Suns must be feeling a bit down after having lost to the Spurs. And they were still effected by it as they went down at home again, this time to Andres NOCIONI’s Chicago Bulls. Chapu had his part of the game with 11 points and a rebound from the bench.
The good news from the Tall Albiceleste continues with a 110-93 win for the Houston Rockets over the Golden State Warriors. Luis SCOLA fell short for a double-double finish with 9 points, 8 rebounds & a steal.
