Jonás picks up an injury and is doubt for Brazil

MARADONA said a couple of weeks ago: "My national team is chaos right now". He referred to the injury crisis that had taken victims in Martín DEMICHELIS, Juan Sebastián VERÓN, Carlos TEVEZ (now both fit again) and Fernando GAGO.

Then Diego says: "Against Brazil, it will be MESSI, MASCHERANO and Jonas GUTIERREZ plus eight other players".

The latest I hear (on TV -Tyc Sports-) is that Newcastle United's midfielder, Jonás GUTIERREZ, has picked up an injury and he is a major doubt for the World Cup Qualifying double-header against Brazil and Paraguay.

What now for Diego?

Is it Jesús DÁTOLO on the left and Maxi RODRIGUEZ on the right?

Esteban CAMBIASSO recently had surgery on one of his knees and he will never know whether MARADONA would have thought of calling him up or not.

With Angel DI MARÍA still suspended. What other options do we have?

Like it or not, Jonás is an engine on the left and he would have been really handy to have around to chase MAICON in case he decides to run forward and attack us and his heart and determination are true assets for our team.

More news to follow as soon as I find confirmation of this situation.

Until then...lets hear from you and lets see if you can think of solutions for our midfield against Brazil and Paraguay.

we also need a player like Juan pablo sorin in the left back, its a shame now he has retired and left back is also a major issue, I say heinze out out out.

I'd prefer Datolo and I hope he really impresses in this match.

If you ask me, a huge blow for Argentina. Gutierrez does all the dirty work and then some. He's saved Papa and Heinze so many times in defensive duties, it's ridiculous. Will be interesting to see who Diego picks and if it is Datolo how will he do in the biggest match of his career.

Seriously, is there a coach in the world that talks like that??

anyway, unless messi has a hell of a night against brazil i think the world cup is history.

Really bad news about Jonas. Just makes things that much more difficult for Argentina. Looks like Datolo will definitely see action.
