NBA News - Manu's Back!!!

The NBA regular season was packed with plenty of action from the Tall Albiceleste. So lets take a look one at a time shall we.

Houston Rockets 103 New York Knicks 91

Luis SCOLA has often been having a roller coaster ride on his form in the NBA. In terms of time play Chuck HAYES out played him but was he good enough to contribute points for the team. Absolutely not!!!

SCOLA despite only less than 15 minutes as compared to HAYES 36 minutes of action, posted 10 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist & 1 steal.

Chicago Bulls 94 Sacramento Kings 93

The Bulls got a strong performance from Andres NOCIONI. With Luol DENG sitting out because of left Achilles' tendinitis, NOCIONI started and rewarded the Bulls with a game high 26 points and five rebounds.
He scored 13 in the first five minutes and never slowed down, hitting 5-of-7 3-pointers and going 7-of-10 overall from the field.

It was a big improvement over the previous five games, when NOCIONI hit just 17-of-49 shots.

"One thing I noticed was Noce was rebounding well tonight,'' interim coach Jim BOYLAN said. "If you watch his game, usually if he is rebounding, he is into the flow of the game.''

Eventually he also finished off the 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block shot & 1 steal.

Toronto Raptors 90 Cleveland Cavaliers 93

A low contribution from Carlos DELFINO as he only posted 3 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist & 1 steals.

Los Angeles Clippers 82 San Antonio Spurs 88

Many would agree with me that Spurs didn’t look like themselves without Manu GINOBILI. This was evident during the last few games when they were lacking to kind of intensity they needed from the bench on which only Manu can provide.
Manu was back for San Antonio after missing five games with a sprained left index finger, scored 12 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter. He had his hand wrapped to protect his injured finger

He eventually also finished off with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal & 1 block shot.

Fabricio OBERTO was also on the bench with 2 points, 2 rebounds & 1 assist.

Well, Chuck is a better defender than Luis and Scola can provide lots of bench firepower so i think there's no wrong in starting chuck.

Meanwhile I hate the Spurs so I would mind them losing games and being biten by injury bug.

P.S. One of my writers posted a new blog that can spark an argument. Visit my site now!!!

Never mind 'bout the off-topic thing, I'm also very happy Manu's back! For me, he is the most skilful player in the world. He does somethings no one else does.
It's great news for Spurs, who where struggling without him.

Anyway, it was a pitty Raptors loss, as Jose Calderon is my favourite player after TMac.
Houston seems to be playing better lately, I hope they can keep like this when Tracy is back.

Great Chapu! Go Bulls

Agree with you Melvin,

Chuck is a better defensive player but much of the defending work can be capitilize by YAO. This will sure provide space for SCOLA to contribute points from the low post.

I'd agree with you as well. Manu is a terrific player. He's a bomb that is ready to explode anytime. He's a BIG factor for the Spurs success. He's great offensively and defensively, though, some would probably say that he's a dirty player. Well, I disagree with that notion because he's just so good at what he's doing. He's very flexible and simply uses his body well.

It's also good the Raptors and the Bulls won. I like these teams.

It was great to see vintage Nocioni against the Kings. He looked like himself before the plantar fasciitis. Hopefully that was his turn-around game. We need him to be the fill-in-the-blanks guy and load up that stat sheet!

Spot on Halley!!! People can whatever they like about Manu but he does what he is best at and that very simple reason why he is so good.

Thanks for your comment Azrael, it was timely for NOCIONI after Scotie PIPPEN had a few things to say about him.

Great Performance but not a great ending....

That's how I would summarized Spurs performance against the Golden State Warriors.

Manu GINOBILI posted another wonderful performance with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists & 1 block shot.

Fabricio OBERTO also from the bench, posted 6 rebounds, 1 assist & 2 steals.
