DENIS The Menace

It seems like the new MARADONA era has hit the heights in the Southern side of Italy. This was the same place that had its greatest moment when Diego was playing there during the 1980’s.

Napoli defeated Reggina 3-0 to remain on top of Serie A alongside Udinese with 20 points. The man of the moment this time is not Ezequiel LAVEZZI, instead he is German DENIS.

DENIS started the game up front alongside LAVEZZI and Marek HAMSIK, scored a hat-trick to ensure an emphatic win against the rock bottom side.

As always big thanks to our dearest friend Jack! for sharing this link with the rest of us.

In France, Lyon defeated ten men Sochaux 2-0 with Cesar DELGADO scoring their second goal in the last minute.

Here is some NBA News…

The new season has just tip off with both Walter HERRMANN and Luis SCOLA having an awesome start in their respective matches.

HERRMANN was on the bench in the Detroit Pistons 100-94 win over the Indiana Pacers. However his contributions as the team’s sixth men help the Pistons to outscore their opponent, posting 10 points & 2 rebounds.

Meanwhile the Houston Rockets also got off to winning start defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 82-71. Luis SCOLA posted a double-double of 12 points & a game high 13 rebounds.

Gracias John for the video.

This was a typical centreforward hat-trick. Placed where he needs to be placed, aware, quick to react, making no mistake.

One of a few very interesting choices we have as centreforwards.

It's looking good with many strikers finding the back of the net quite often and with Hernan CRESPO now back in contention for places at Inter (Adriano and CRUZ have been temporarily taken out of the squad for disciplinary reasons. Adriano for going out at night, CRUZ for, arguably, not paying attention to MOURINHO's instructions during games).

CAVENAGHI scores every now and then.

DENIS finding form for Napoli (with the incredible LAVEZZI providing some service).

Diego MILITO always present for Genoa.

I guess Diego will have some names to start pencil in his notepad.

I've always said it before, it's not like we are lacking in terms of height up front.

All these guys need is a chance to shine for the national team.

Hopefully somewhere right now, Diego is reading these lines.
