Great win for Atlético Madrid after crushing Real Zaragoza 4-0. Though no goal for KUN, MAXI was outstanding as he got a brace and Lionel FRANCO kept a clean sheet. Despite having Roberto AYALA, Pablo AIMAR, Diego MILITO (all starters) and D'ALESSANDRO (2nd half substitute), things don't look good these days at Zaragoza.

Juan Pablo CAFFA (starter) and Mariono PAVONE (2nd half substitute) were in action for Real Betis in their 1-1 draw against Racing Santander. Racing had Ezequiel GARAY and Aldo DUSHCER in their starting line up.

Real Mallorca had Ariel IBAGAZA (starter) and Oscar TREJO (nd half substitute) in their 2-0 win over Recreativo Huelva.

Perhaps the story of the weekend, the return of David NALBANDIAN at his very best. After suffering erratic year of 2007, NALBANDIAN return to form ends on a high note after defeating World No.1Roger FEDERER 1-6, 6-3 & 6-3.

Not to forget, on his way to the final he also defeated World No.2 Rafael NADAL and No.3 Novak DJOKOVIC. This was his first title since winning the Estoril Open in May 2006.
