NBA News - Mixed Fortunes For Tall Albiceleste

Spurs Starts With A Win

There was a new championship banner on display in the arena and the players were given their championship ring for their achievement last season. To start off, San Antonio SPURS finished off the game from where they left off last season. They defeated the Portland TRAIL BLAZERS 106-97.
Manu GINOBILI had pretty good game despite only posting 16 points from the bench, as he was responsible for 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 steals & 1 block shot.

Fabricio OBERTO who was starter, posted 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal & 1 block shot.

No points for SCOLA’s Debut

The Houston ROCKETS tip off their season with 95-93 over a Los Angeles LAKERS who have plenty of uncertainty about the future of their star player.

Never mind about that, as this was also going to be Luis SCOLA competitive debut in the NBA.
By his own standard, this wasn’t the kind of performance anyone would have expected from him but he is still new and needs time to adjust.
SCOLA had no points but in a mere 9 minutes he did achieve 3 rebounds.
