He had to wait almost half a year for this moment to come, but Carlos TEVEZ have finally scored a goal for West Ham in an all-important London derby against Tottenham Hotspurs.
After Mark NOBLE opened up the scoring for the Hammers, Carlitos cooly flicked a free-kick past Paul ROBINSON to put his team 2-0 up.
But a late comeback, including two goals in the last two minutes, secured a 4-3 win for Spurs and left West Ham empty handed once more.
CARLITOS got a yellow card for a crazy goal celebration but I think it was worth it because of all the things he was living since he left Brazil and arrived to East London.
Hopefully he´ll start banging in more goals from now on!
To Spain now where we had 3 Argentine goals in the match in which Zaragoza defeated Real Sociedad. Germán HERRERA scored the first for Real Sociedad, Pablo AIMAR levelled the score before Diego MILITO, from the spot, gave Zaragoza a 2-1 lead with 15 minutes to go.

I’m really happy to know that Carlitos has broken his dark horse spell. Unfortunately I did not watch the game but I’m going to make it a point to catch all the action on ESPN Sportcenter.
I do hope through this performance, Alan Curbie will have more faith in him and perhaps with this stellar performance, this could be a joint Carlitos/West Ham revival to stay in the Premiership.
Seba, I do agree with the poll that you’ve posted on the previous article. The least I can say from a positive point of view that the majority of the public is behind Coco’s idea. And Coco may have the peace of mind he needs to run his job. For your info, it wasn’t easy for Big Phil Scolari or Sven GONED Ericksson when they were first in charge of Portugal or England respectively as they hardly had the public support.
Perhaps the reason behind the little number of votes on Players based in Europe only could be the fact that players like Gago and Kun were left out from the 2006 squad?

Pedro, thanks for your comments. I guess the city of Braga must be waiting for Sporting to take on Tottenham Hotspurs for the UEFA Cup round of 16.

I must confess that finding the standings on the internet is such a nightmare! I did it at the 3rd time of asking and after clicking on several links. It should be easy to find, but it´s not!
John, I would like to add that TEVEZ also had 2 assists! So he had a part in all of West Ham's goals but I still think he should be played up front as a striker (or as one of the two strikers) instead of using him on the wings.

Thanks for the link. As I’ve said earlier that I’ll make it point to watch the goal, I’ve managed to watch it three times. And all I can say it is one of those moments that you’ll never ever forget.
The feeling I had for this goal was the same feeling I had when Juan Sebastian VERON scored a superb free kick for Manchester United against Bolton Wanderers back in 2001. And not to forget, CRESPO’s powerful strike for Chelsea against Wigan back in 2005.
It’s always great to see when an Argentine player does his magic in front of a passionate English crowd, like the one we saw at Upton Park.
I can’t imagine what must be going through in CARLITOS head at that time. I’m still wondering after having superb game, did he even sleep well that night.
The least it goes to show all the hard work and effort that he has taken is paying off.
