In Champions League news, Zanetti is set to start at the left back position today against Chelsea due to Chivu's injury. Those of you who have been following the massive debate in the 139 reply Germany post will know that I have been calling for Zanetti to start for the national team on the left side, allowing Zabaleta to start as RB. It will be interesting to see how he performs on the left side against a top club. It'll also be interested to see how well Diego Milito plays against Chelsea today and I'm sure it'll heat up the Milito vs. Higuian debate even more.

FORZA INTERNAZIONALE!!!!

GK, actually Pupi has played in that position for quite sometime now. From what I've seen, he has been impressive to play as a make shift left back. Hopefully, will see the Albiceleste of Inter give the so-called Special One something remember upon his return back to Stamford Bridge.

Oh yeah, I know Zanetti has played in the LB role several times but it has always been against mediocore Italian teams so it'll be interesting to see how he plays on the left side against a powerhouse like Chelsea.

Go Inter !! I hope Julio Cesar is up to snuff after getting banged around in that car wreck.

As for the debate about LB's and RB's, let me throw in my 2 cents again. Zanetti-yes; Ansaldi-maybe; Insua-maybe; Zabaleta-no ! I think Zabaleta is way overrated.

johnny, Zabaleta overrated? Thats an interesting point of view, I personally think he is UNDERrated. Just curious, whats your reasoning?

Hi GK. I watch alot of Man City and I'm always underwhelmed by Zabaleta. I don't think he is very athletic, fouls alot, not the fastest and offensively has struggled for quite awhile. Hey, others may have seen all the matches I have and think otherwise ! I much prefer Insua to Zabaleta and Clemente Rodriguez as well. I haven't seen Ansaldi enough to say. And then there is Monzon, who I see play every match (when he plays) for Boca, and who has done NOTHING at Boca.

So, for me, Zanetti and Insua on the squad for sure.

I'm kind of on the fence with Zabaleta. I've watched several City matches this season and from what I've seen he's been decent. Nothing extraordinary, but decent. He's mostly played as a right-back/right-mid when I've seen him though.

If we're talking about left back, then no, I wouldn't pick Zabaleta. Monzon hasn't exactly lived up to expectations either. Insua is interesting. He runs up and down the pitch and helps in the attack. However, he has been caught out of position at times. But he can only get better with time. Also, from what I've seen from him, he's physically strong.

I'm with Johnny on Ansaldi, I haven't seen enough of him. Rodriguez is one that might be able to make the NT. I watched him in the Club World Cup and was impressed.

I would like to see Zanetti along with Insua at the World Cup, but it probably won't happen.

Cambiasso scores the game winner with a rocket shot from outside the area in the 55TH minute, 4 minutes after Chelsea equalized. Great match for the Argentines on Inter.

FORZA INTERNAZIONALE!!!!

Zanetti made a mistake that led to Samuel (almost) Giving away a penalty. You decide on the almost part.
Other than that they were solid.

@ Totti

Samuel, to me, is definitely underrated and based on his form this season i do believe he is at Puyol's level. Puyol though, is a natural leader, it can't be learned, and no one can take that away from him.

One thing i wonder is why does Maradona decide to start using Samuel now 3 Months before the World Cup, he should've been playing with Demichelis in the center building chemistry for at least half a year.

I saw Ansaldi in all the CL group games Rubin Played and i look foward to seeing him in the Europa League. He demonstrated an excellent work rate against Inter and Barcelona in both games and showed good link up play up front with the left sided midfielders. E has goo pace to keep up with all but the fastest fowards and has decent positioning and defending skills. I was also impressed with his resilient but professional attitude and want to see more from him in the near future. His game against Spain was below par but it was his first not exactly a good time to debut.

well, well...Militol what to say? Goal.com says he is the most underrated striker in the world. and for once i have to agree with them.
