CARLITOS way

Or should it be CARLITOS walks away?

Yesterday, after PARDEW decided to substitute TEVEZ with Teddy SHERINGHAM, the Argentine striker went to the locker rooms, had a shower and left the stadium before all his teammates and his manager.

This is not good news and it reminds me a bit of the TEVEZ we've seen in his last days at Corinthians. Nothing to do with the unstoppable CARLITOS who won everything with Boca Juniors and then was elected as the best player in the Brazilian league when he helped Corinthians to win the title.

It is pretty clear to me that he is unhappy at the moment and he doesn't know what is his role at West Ham.

Here is a link to an article published in the BBC with more info about this issue: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/6184404.stm

On another note, things are great here at Doha as I look forward for the football tournament to start on Tuesday. There is still unclear what is the situation with Iran and whether they'll be able to play here or not. It's keeping us really busy and it's making us write and re-write every article again and again and again...but I'm enjoying it anyway!

Hi Seba,

Great to hear from you!!! Did you receive my e-mail?

Yes, reports regarding of Tevez news during last Saturday really kind of worries me, what’s worst under FIFA rules both him and Javier may not be able to look for another club until the end of this season.

Part of me is not worried as for Argentina, as we already proper back up for them. Up front the likes of Kun Aguerro or Lionel Messi may be able to take up Tevez’s role. On the other hand, Gago or even Samoza are good replacements for Javier in the defensive midfield role.

However another part of me is getting freaked out to see both of them going through this ordeal. Even until today I just can’t believe all this rubbish is really happening. Lets admit, Carlitos and Javier are not players that should be starting on the bench but given a chance at any other team, they’ve would walk into first eleven without any hassled.

I’m pretty sure any other coach would be dying to have both players on their roster. This is just my thought, I’m not sure about the rest of you.

By the way its great too see, Gabriel Heinze back in action for Man Utd, as he played against Chelsea. The 1-1 draw result was the only setback for me in that match.

And Diego Milito keeps up his scoring habit as he scored in the 1-1 against Celta Vigo.

Other News

2006 World Volleyball Championship…

Argentina’s campaign is coming to an end of two successive defeats in the second round, against Russia 0-3 (18-25, 20-25 & 14-25) and Serbia & Montenegro 1-3 (18-25, 16-25, 26-24 & 17-25). Next up is against Tunisia (28 Nov) and their final match is against Canada (29 Nov). Anyhow well done volley boys for coming this far.

Yes John, I did receive your message! Thank you very much. Very useful insight information I wouldn't have been able to get elsewhere. Much appreciated.

Happy to see Diego MILITO scoring!

He has to have a chance in our national team in the future.

In other news, tomorrow is the start of the real football competition at the Asian Games and I'll be at Al-Sadd stadium watching UAE v Uzbekistan and later Qatar v Jordan.

Again, things look great and I reckon these are going to be great games for everybody.

Will keep you posted.

Oh..and last night..I was zapping through channels and I saw a little bit of River Plate at Godoy Cruz with commentary in Arabic! Great experience. The match was live but it was really late and I fell asleep in the first half.

Seba,

You are most welcome. Glad to know that those article were useful for you.

By the way, this weekend is going to be the Davis Cup Final. Hopefully you’ll have some time to post an article on that. Don’t worry if you can’t because I’ll definitely post all the latest news I can get.

No doubt that the final is going to be held in Moscow and on hard court if I’m not wrong, but I do have some hope that our racquet kings have what it takes to prevail.

The latest news I’ve heard that Captain Alberto MANCINI has named the same line-up that played against Australia in the semi-finals. From the looks of it, only NALANDIAN looks to be our best player for points, but I’m sure the rest of the team will give all they’ve got to capture this prestige crown.

In the meantime, I would like to shout out to David NALBANDIAN, Jose ACASUSO, Agustin CALLERI and Juan Ignacio CHELA…

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!

Whats happeningat West Ham with Carlos Tevez is already becoming a joke. A very sad day when i heard that his punishment was to wear a Brazillian jersey during trainings.

In general, The Premiership is still a kick and run, lob high balls and direct crushing tackle league. We all know that such play don't get to win games at international levels.

To see Tevez and Mascherano gets to this stage is not very encouraging. I hope they can get out of this conundrum soon.
