Dubai friendly cancelled. What now?

It's been confirmed that the friendly match that was supposed to take place in Dubai near the end of May has been cancelled.

MARADONA, who spoke at a press conference in Cutral-Co (the city where the friendly against Haiti will take place on Wednesday at 9 PM Buenos Aires), was disappointed with the decision and hinted that there could be problems to organise a new friendly for that same date now.

Diego was adamant in not revealing names for the list of 30. He was asked about ZANETTI, CAMBIASSO, PALERMO...he said nothing.

He did say he remembers 1986 and how no journalist was innocent when it came to criticising Carlos BILARDO. Diego said that after they won the World Cup, the journalist became pancakes (meaning that they turned upside down and started praising BILARDO and the team).

Diego says the same thing is happening to him now and again confirmed what I've been saying all along: he wants to emulate the same atmosphere that team of 1986 lived before getting to Mexico.

Will that be enough?

As a side note, MARADONA said a nice thing about ORTEGA:

"I called him up because I called him 2 months ago and he got injured. Now I can call him again and so I'm doing it. I think it's a good thing for him and I know what I'm talking about. I know because I have lived a few tough moments. I hope he chooses to continue playing and he chooses life above everything else. I wanted to call ORTEGA because he gave our national team a lot of things and it's typical of Argentines that we seem to forget the people who gave us a lot. I won't do that. He deserves the national team".
