  7. Man Diego! Now we surely need some miracles from Messi in most of the games to have any hopes; I am lowering my hope bar now so that I won't be devasted to the point of not eating food for days. Seriously Colocini and Veron in, Deigo Milito and Zanetti out!!!!!!! Those are the players I never liked in our team; of course after Heinze but man; disappoint is not enough of an word to tell what I feel. I am feeling like I just failed the exams. Still let's hope somehow, we have miracle!

    Vamos Argentina!

  8. Srry Diego Milito is in but still; my frustration is the same, especially when we have such experienced players, I just don't understand picking players who have basically no national team experience. The time for experiment has long gone.

Rumor has it that what made Diego take so long was that he was trying to get riquelme on the team.

history is so repeating its self i agree caps man the weakest on the list will go and whats left looks very balanced and looks like maradona will be sticking with his solid 4-4-2 i think some of those he has picked wiull be honored to be on the same pitch as messi and will fight for him

diego stated clearly those running out of gas will not go (cambiasso) lol and that they need a team that lets messi play free veron said the same thing i see on that list exactly that bilardo played solid 3 at back maradona a solid 4 i think its a team with 1986 all over it but 1 extra guy at the back because euro team width can punish a back 3 the team that beat germany with tinkering will be very hard very physical very quick and score goals messi needs to pull up his socks now no excuses

  14. Seba, when the final 23 man squad in released on June 1 do all 23 players need to be on the provisional list or can Diego chose someone who isn't originally on 30 man list?

Does it all depend on injury etc.?

Just curious because I'm not sure how it works. Don't worry guys, I am not giving myself false hope....

Many of us here think that bringing the best 30 is the best way, but Maradona doesn't think that way. I agree we won't even have our strongest 23, but other than the starting line up, we can only rely on 8-9 others (Andujar, Burdisso, Clemente, Bolatti, Pastore, Tevez, Aguero, Milito/Palermo/Lavezzi) which means the other 3-4 are pretty much cheer leaders (Pozo, Coloccini/Garce, Mercier/Blanco/Datolo/Maxi/Sosa). I'm not saying they're trash, but they aren't "specialists" or have any special things in them. They are just there to complete the squad.

Let's not exaggerate that the exclusion of Zanetti, Cambiasso, Gago, G. Milito, or Lucho would do any bad to us. Let's face it...even if they are around, Maradona isn't a fan of them. So whether they are called or not, they wouldn't play any major minutes during the WC. So why would waste time on talking about their exclusion???

Let's remember Maradona isn't Pekerman or Basile who loves Cambiasso. He's got his own men, so let him do it! Don't talk as if with Cambiasso-Zanetti we would win the WC, without them, we won't.

    Principee
