The Eagle’s Albiceleste Close In On Title

Benfica are within touching distance of winning the Portguese League title after another five star performance. They hammered Olhanense 5-0 with a master class display from both Angel DI MARIA and Pablo AIMAR.

The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute with DI MARIA scoring a fine individual goal and he even provided two more assist in the match. AIMAR rounded things up for the night with a clinical strike. Javier SAVIOLA was brought in a second half substitution in the 61st minute.

Benfica’s fierce rival, FC Porto also had a big win with 5-2 trashing over Vitoria Setubal, one of which coming from Fernando BELLUSCHI.

Whilst in Serie A, Inter Milan returned to the top of the table after 3-1 win over Atalanta. Diego MILITO, who had a sensational week against Barca in the Champions League, was on target again. Though we’ve been hearing about him joining to the Paraguay National team for the World Cup (remember, nothing is certain until you get your first senior cap), Lucas BARRIOS scored a hat trick over the weekend against Nurnberg in the Bundesliga. Lastly in the English League One, former giants Leeds United hammered Milton Keynes Dons with a 4-1 with a goal from Luciano BECCHIO.
