MILITO to miss out against Perú and Uruguay

It's just his luck, isn't it?

Diego MILITO started this season with Inter in a great form and scoring almost at will. Nobody can really tell whether he was going to have a chance to start against Perú and/or Uruguay, or if he was going to watch Martín PALERMO, Gonzalo HIGUAIN, Carlos TEVEZ or Sergio AGÜERO from the bench.

Things have changed, though, as MILITO suffered an injury on Saturday against Udinese that will keep him out of action for at least one month, which means there is no way he'll see action in our last two World Cup Qualifying matches.

It remains to be seen whether Diego MARADONA will call someone from Europe to replace MILITO.

  2. How much more unlucky can you get?

I really feel sorry for Diego MILITO, really do. No matter how many goals he scores or whatever he does , seems like fate has it that he will never feature importantly with the National Team.

Initially I was optimist about MILITO’s chances in our last two game but something tells me whether he was fit or not or whoever Diego is going to call up now to replace him; it looks like PALERMO will start.

Well it looks like our prayer for a Devine Intervention continues……

It seems like Higuain will start i think! However what concerns me the most is who will Maradona call up for CB? Heinze won't probably start, Demi is just back from an injury, Pareja will maybe start not so sure but who else?

  4. Oh damn, can it get any worse for us?
If Maradona plays Palermo and we don't qualify, then goodbye to ever watching Argentina play football again. I just can't take any more humiliations by this team :S
Now for the last two matches, I hope Aimar plays alongside Messi, He's probably the closest thing we have now to an Iniesta in the argentine team.

I do not think he will call anybody from Europe. But if he does, I could live with Lisandro,Zarate,Crespo in that order.

He cant call anyone from Europe! its against the law! you can only call up players from Europe 2 weeks before the match! if an Injury occurs you should call up someone from your domestic league!

However did anyone other than me watch Palermo vs Juve??? Did you see how Pastore outclassed Melo and Diego? he got an applause from the fans and his coach when he was leaving the pitch! he created 5 chances and they scored 1 of them but what a fantastic player this kid is!

Pastore is a true gift. He will be a part of the 2011 Copa America squad.

  9. on the bright side also, insua had a good game against the very physical chelsea...his team lost but he had a solid game.

it will be crime if he does not start for argentina.

Call up Zarate. He's started scoring again.

Pastore looked great, got an assist and could of got more. Even scored a goal but it was offside for no reason. One thing that worries about me is that I have a feeling the Italians will chase after him top play for the national side. I believe he holds an Italian passport as well, so it will not be that difficult. Give him a couple seasons at Palermo and he will adapt and be one of the most influential players in Europe. He promise is out of this world. Stay injury free, and continue playing with style and grace. Very happy he did not make a move to a major club.

If Maradona guarantees that there is no spot for him on the NT then he might consider Italy but otherwise i can't see how he would'nt wanna play with Argentinians specially when we lack that position on the NT!

  13. Come on, enough with that crap "He's going to play with Italy, if Diego doesnt call him up!" He's 20y old(barely, as he was born in 1989), he has the future beyond him and even if he doesnt make the WC next year, he has easily 2014 and 2018 for him.

  14. So Palermo scored a goal with his head, from 40 meters... If Diego had doubts about starting him against Peru, I doubt he has any now. :(
