Don't say I didn't tell you! Argentina to play Israel!

In our latest podcast I said I wouldn't be surprised if Argentina were to play Israel in Tel Aviv.

We have to face it. We are managed by Diego and co-ordinated by BILARDO and those two are incredibly superstitious.

I said I thought BILARDO had a masterplan that consisted in creating a fight with the media so the team could galvanise against a common 'enemy' and then I said: "Don't be surprised if Argentina goes on a tour of Israel before the next World Cup like they did in 1986 before going to Mexico"

Now I'm hearing the last friendly before traveling to South Africa will...surprisingly...be in Tel Aviv against Israel.

There's more.

We will face Serbia on 18 November (a match just around the corner) and on 3 March it'll be Germany in Germany like Roy reported a few days ago here on Mundo Albiceleste.

So...we've got a match against Spain coming up on 14 November, followed by Serbia (these two will be proper tests as both of them will be in South Africa 2010).

This report of a match v. Serbia on 18 November, clashes with the previous information that said we were facing Nigeria in London. We need confirmation on this one, but this is what I'm hearing.

Germany next year and there's also Israel.

I just heard that on TV and will give you more details as soon as I find them.

  4. Johnny, thanks for the link.

MaxiLopez, I've been following your account for a while(I've seen your Argentina/France videos several times) and finished watching all 3 of your Germany videos last night. Very good videos, by the way.

As for the Serbia match, I'm not sure which match I would prefer. I'd like to face Nigeria because chances are we're going to get an African team in our group and I'd like to see how we would match up with one of them.

  5. I'll believe that this whole common enemy and superstition thing is for real when I see the call up list for the Spain and Serbia friendly. Will Diego still call up guys like Schiavi and Perez or will they be replaced with Samuel and Cambiasso? Time will tell....

  8. Walter Samuel scored a fantastic header against Dynamo in the Champions League.

  9. Samuel should have been called for 4 years now and he still gets snubbed.

FIFA has put down the Nigeria game on the 18th. So maybe it is Serbia?
