I have to admit this is something that I’ve never expected. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen defenders scoring some nice goals but never have I imagined something as classy as this coming from Gabriel HEINZE.
Mr. Freddy KRUGER turned to be the difference in what was a poor Champions League match between his side, Marseille and the host FC Zurich. A cross from Lucho GONZALEZ from the right, found HEINZE unmarked beyond the far post to send a neat side-foot volley curling back past goalkeeper Johnny LEONI into the far corner.
Well love him or hate him, he seems to be doing well with the Les Phocéens as thanks to that goal the French side came away with a 1-0 win, reviving their chances of qualifying further in the competition
just wanna say Hi! to all Heinze haters
ReplyDeleteu can expect anything from Heinze :)
ReplyDeleteSo what...Anonymous? Do you think I'm going to change my opinion on HEINZE only because he scored a goal in the Champions League?
ReplyDeleteDoes this goal make him less of a liability playing for Argentina?
Don't think so.
I've got nothing against Gabriel HEINZE the man. I just don't want him playing for Argentina. That's it.
Good luck to him wherever he plays and good luck to him ESPECIALLY when he plays for Argentina.
I wish he could score everytime he plays for Argentina. I'd have no problem with that happening.
I'll agree with Seba, it's not that we hate him. If he (or any Albiceleste player that we can think of) score an amazing goal, surely we will give high praise for that effort. That doesn't mean it justifies their presence in the National Team. It takes some consistence performance to justify that as far as I can remember KRUGER never had that in him ESPECIALLY with the NT.
ReplyDeleteNice goal from HEINZE. What is that like his second in the Champions League?! The only thing he can score for us is own goals for the other team.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, like Seba said, just because he scored a goal for Marseille doesn't make him less crappy while playing for Argentina. It sucks too, because I'm a huge HEINZE fan, but lately, there is no defending the guy.
I want him to play as well as he can.......coz as i see it he is just not going to be out of the NT....
ReplyDeleteSo lets just wish him the best and keep our fingers crossed.....
Some of you are too harsh on Heinze. I too do not want him in the national team, as I think he now is too slow to be in our starting defense, but it is unfair to say he has never performed for the national team. When he was at PSG and then in his first years at Man U he was fantastic and he helped the national team once he was called up. The fact that he keeps getting chosen by a moron for a coach is not his fault.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the great goal Heinze, still able to contribute offensively (quite good in this regard for a defender) but not enough to provide calmness in defense.
It was a luck.. and he was almost lost the balance.
ReplyDeleteHe should'nt be in NT
ReplyDeleteEuropaleague news!
ReplyDeleteSaviola and Di Maria had great great great games for Benfica today. Di Maria was masterclass today. Aimar did well also. If they are showing or reairing this game in your city, watch the game! I promise you, you will be very happy with the outcome.
Other news Lazio beat Villareal with a nice goal by Zsrate.
Di Maria 2 assist
ReplyDeleteSaviola scored 2 and one more assist...
Man.......Di Maria...wat wlse can i say...went past his man every time he had the ball..........assisted 3.....savioa scored 2 and also assisted.....aimar assisted 1.....awesome match...
ReplyDeleteDi Maria is a lethal winger, Aimar remains a classy playmaker, easily second best after JJR. Saviola is striker of pure technique, instinct and ice cool with all round game to match.
ReplyDeleteThey should all be playing for the NT in my opinion
Di Maria rating in goal.com..
ReplyDeleteDi Maria – 9.5: Absolutely unplayable and ripped Everton to shreds. Constantly whipped in dangerous crosses and his assist for Saviola’s opener was delivered with pin-point accuracy. Also set up the third and fifth goals, had a hand in the fourth and almost scored one of his own, but was denied by the bar.
:D:D:D
maradona - the stupid coach we have (for those who hate the negative talk) - has practically assured that Lavezzi will be a part of the world cup squad specially after "his performance against Bologna"...
ReplyDeleteok so the guy follows his players right? maybe someone can advise him of spending some time watching zarate, samuel, banega, and cambiasso for example...instead maradona insists on making a team of friends and family.
somehow not only Maradona but also Pekerman wanted Heinze in his team so think about it
