Pretty glad to see some of the Albiceleste are already doing their usual thing in the Champions League qualifying play-off stage.
Atlético Madrid took advantage over their encoutner with Greek side Panathinaikos with 3-2 away win. Much of the focus on the game was on Kun AGUERO after he has being speculated for a big money move to England. Instead Atlético named him in starting line up meaning that he will be cup tied in Europe should any move go through.
Maxi RODRIGUEZ gave the Spanish side a half time lead. While the Albiceleste of the moment, Kun helped to strectch that lead to 3-1 in the 70th minute after turning Bryce MOON and Nikos SPYROPOULOS inside out down the right before firing across Mario GALINOVIC.
Four minutes later, SPYROPOULOS slipped Sebastian LETO in down the left channel and he rifled the ball past Andres ASENJO to make it 3-2, but it was Atletico who left the Greek capital with the upper hand.
Meanwhile in another match, Lisandro LOPEZ scored from the spot for Lyon in their 5-1 hammering against Belgian side Anderletch, who had both Lucas BIGLIA and Martin SUAREZ in their starting line up.
