The Houston Rockets capitalized on every personnel in their roster to overcome the Golden State Warriors 113-109. A result meant they are now the Southwest Division and looking good to grab the coveted third spot in the West. All of this was done without YAO Ming.
Luis SCOLA was part of the big contributor to this win posting a career high of 28 points, 9 rebounds & 4 assists. He together with the likes of veteran Dikembe MUTOMBO, Ron ARTEST and the rest of Rockets played in what was the best team performance against the Warrior.
As SCOLA, alongside ARTEST was doing damages on the offense, MUTOMBO was taking care of the defense. A perfect game plan from the Rockets. I’m not sure whether SCOLA and the Rocs have what it takes to compete against the Lakers but at least I do have a sense of optimism from this team.
Unlike they’re division neighbour, the Spurs who looks to be walking wounded towards the playoffs. Oh yes, they did beat the Jazz 105-99, with no action from Fabricio OBERTO.
Walter HERRMANN had 2 points for the Detroit Pistons in their 100-93 win over the New Jersey Nets. Andres NOCIONI posted 11 points, 9 rebounds and one block shot in the Sacramento Kings heavy loss to the LA Clippers (78-109).
