Nico's Hat-Trick In Belgium & Elsewhere

Carlos TEVEZ was given a run in the 78th minute and such limited time left, he was unable to United to come away with a win at Everton. The best thing that I can think of from yesterday’s Premiership encounter was the return of Juan GUTIERREZ in Sunderland/Newcastle game.

Down in English League One, one player seems to be making plenty noise is Luciano BECCHIO. He scored in Leeds United 3-0 win over Walsall.

In La Liga, Mariano PAVONE 86th minute goal help to seal Real Betis win over Osasuna 2-0.

Fernando CAVENAGHI was on target from the spot in Bordeaux 2-2 draw with Nice.

Surprise in Portugal, as Porto crashed at home to Leixoes 2-3 with goals from Lucho GONZALEZ(pen) and Lisandro LOPEZ.

In the Russian Premier League, Cristian ANSALDI scored for Rubin Kazan in their 3-0 win over PFK Samara.

While in the Swiss Super League, Julio Hernan ROSSI scored from the spot in Neuchatel Xamax 1-0 win over Lucerne.

Nicolas FRUTOS was the Albiceleste night as he was the hat-trick in Anderletch 7-1 win over KV Mechelen in the Belgian Jupiter League.

More action coming on Sunday, the BIG one being Chelsea v Liverpool.

  3. So far news from Sunday’s fixtures around Europe….

Franco CANGELE scored for Kayserispor in their 3-1 win over Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super League.

Daniel DIAZ got the winner for Getafe against Valladolid.

Atletico Madrid leads 2-0 against Villareal with goals from SIMAO and Diego FORLAN. Maxi RODRIGUEZ returns but Ever BANEGA is off after a second yellow card.

Off the topic, anyone watching the Chargers/Saint game from Wembley, London?

  5. Wow! What a game in Villareal. The final score is 4-4.

Another equal thrilling encounter was in Greece. AEK Athens were 3-0 up with goals from Ismael BLANCO & Ignacio SCOCCO (2) against Thrasivoulos. But the home made a dramatic comeback to level the score.
