Happy birthday, Mr. Diego MARADONA!

Despite your feelings about Diego MARADONA being named as the new Argentina boss, today, Thursday, 30 October, 2008 is his 48th birthday and every Mundo Albiceleste reader surely considers him as the best footballer to every play the game.

So, if you're not happy with his appointment, just leave aside that fact and think of the man that gave us, Argentina fans, so many victories and tears of joy (and a few of the other tears).

I think we should just take one moment to think about what Diego means to our national team and to the world of football and wish him a happy birthday from wherever we are.

No matter what he does from now on as our manager or what he did with his personal life and his off-the-pitch antics, he will forever be my childhood hero and no player will ever replace him in my heart.

For that reason alone, I wish Diego the best of days ahead and a life full of happiness and peace.

And, Diego, I guess we all know that just before you blow the candles your wishes will be pretty much the same as ours!
